These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services") operated by KafLabs ("KafLabs," "we," "us," or "our").

These Terms apply to all KafLabs products, including but not limited to PDF Anvil, QR Anvil, SetupForge, and ImageForge. Individual products may maintain their own supplemental terms that provide additional conditions specific to that product. In the event of a conflict, the product-specific terms prevail for that product.

By accessing or using any of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use our Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Services

KafLabs develops and operates tools and applications — including websites, web applications, and downloadable software — under the KafLabs brand and under individual product names. Our products may offer both free and paid tiers, features, or subscription plans. The specific functionality, availability, and pricing of each product are described on its respective website and may change over time.

3. User Accounts

Some features of our Services may require you to create an account. When you do, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for an extended period.

4. Pricing, Payments, and Subscriptions

4.1 Free and Paid Offerings

Certain features of our Services may be available at no cost, while others may require payment through one-time purchases or recurring subscriptions. We reserve the right to change which features are free and which are paid at any time.

4.2 Billing

If you subscribe to a paid plan, you authorize us (or our third-party payment processor) to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle you select.

4.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, fees are non-refundable.

4.4 Price Changes

We may adjust pricing at any time. For active subscriptions, we will provide reasonable advance notice before any price increase takes effect. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our Services to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Distribute malware, phishing links, or fraudulent content
  • Generate or distribute illegal, harmful, or misleading content
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without our written permission
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Services without authorization

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these guidelines.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, code, designs, logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property associated with KafLabs and our products (including "KafLabs," "PDF Anvil," "QR Anvil," "SetupForge," and "ImageForge") are owned by or licensed to KafLabs. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

Content you create using our Services (e.g., QR codes, processed images) remains yours. By using the Services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store your content solely as needed to provide the Services to you.

7. Third-Party Software and Services

Our Services may integrate with or rely on third-party software, APIs, or platforms. Such third-party components are governed by their respective license agreements and terms of service. We do not own, control, or assume responsibility for third-party software, and we make no warranties regarding its availability, accuracy, or suitability.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Services, you consent to the data practices described therein.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. KAFLABS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KAFLABS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless KafLabs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or through our Services. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
